A couple of friends and I are donating textbooks to a local college in the Philippines and we’d like YOU to join us! I’ll gladly take used/old edition textbooks off your hands and send them to La Carlota City College in La Carlota, Negros Occidental, Philippines. The school librarians have expressed the school’s great need for books and resources, and we’re eager to help get the students a few books to read and use to be academically successful.
So dust off those old textbooks and donate them to a school in need!

WHEN: ASAP! Last day to donate is September 20, 2010
BOOKS ACCEPTED: English, Math, Science, Health, Music, etc. Textbooks; fiction paperbacks, anthologies; educational magazines (Nat’l Geographic, Popular Science, etc.), and more!
HOW: Send a message to Francesca to arrange pick-up/drop-off!
The books will be shipped by the La Carlota City Association of America in October and this mini-book drive is in support of their efforts to help La Carlota City College. Books not sent to the Philippines will be donated to a literacy program, given to a library, or returned to you. Books will not be sold for profit.
